PortfolioMirror is a trading journal. It holds your trade history, what you wrote about it, and what it worked out from both — so this page says exactly what is kept, where it sits, who touches it, and how you get it back or get rid of it.

In effect from 19 September 2026

What is held

All of it comes from you: you sign in, you bring your trades in, and you write the rest. Nothing is bought from anyone and nothing is gathered about you elsewhere.

  • Who you are — your name and email address, given to us by Google when you sign in, and an account id that identifies you to the product. There is no password here to lose: sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito and Google.

  • Your trades — closed trades, open positions and the raw broker rows behind them, together with a record of each file you imported. They arrive from the tradebook you upload or from a broker account you chose to link.

  • What you wrote — your Trading Systems and their rules, setups, rule sets, the tags you put on trades, your own notes, your watchlists, and anything you sent to support or as feedback.

  • What was worked out from those — audits, setup runs, your Progress readings, badges and challenges, your Learnings review, and AI Coach reviews of individual trades. These are readings of your trades and they go when the trades go.

  • Your conversations — what you asked the AI Coach and what it answered, kept so the thread is still there when you come back.

  • A broker connection, only if you make one — an access token stored encrypted, which your broker invalidates every morning, and the holdings it last read for you. It is read-only: nothing here can place, change or cancel an order.

  • Your settings — the language you chose, your chart preferences, which reminders you switched off, and how often you want Progress graded.

  • How you used the product — which screens you opened and when, how many AI requests you made, and what they cost against your plan's allowance. This is how the caps in your plan are counted, and how we know which parts of the product are worth keeping.

  • What you paid — the amount, the date and the period it bought.

What is not done with it

It is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers or data brokers. It is not used to train any AI model, ours or anybody else's. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party analytics in this product — the usage counts described above are our own, kept in our own database, and are not sent anywhere.

Where it is kept

In Amazon Web Services' Mumbai region, in India. Your rows are held in databases encrypted at rest, reached only over an encrypted connection, and every read is scoped to your account id. Files you upload to import are held in a private, encrypted bucket and deleted once the import finishes.

Those databases keep a rolling 35-day point-in-time backup, which is what makes it possible to recover from a mistake on our side. It also means that for up to 35 days after you delete something, a copy of it can still exist inside that backup, from which nothing is read in the ordinary running of the product.

Who else touches it

As few as the product can manage, and each one for a named job:

  • Amazon Web Services, in India, runs the servers, the databases, the file storage, the sign-in and the email. Everything in this document lives inside our own account there.

  • The AI features — the Coach, the chat, the written parts of your Learnings review — work by sending the text they need to language models we run through Amazon's managed model service, inside that same account. What is sent is what the answer needs: your question, the trade being reviewed, the numbers behind it. It is not used to train those models, and we do not name the model on this page because which model does the work is a setting we change as better and cheaper ones appear.

  • Your broker, if you linked one. You sign in to them, not to us, and we hold only the short-lived token that lets the product read your trades and holdings.

  • Market-data sources, for prices, company data and news. They are asked about symbols and dates. They are never told who is asking.

How long it is kept

Your trades, systems, rules, notes, readings and conversations are kept until you ask us to remove them. Closing your account does not remove them: it stops you signing in and leaves everything where it is, so you can come back to it. There is no automatic expiry on any of it — a trading journal that quietly forgot last year would be useless.

The detailed record of which screens you opened expires by itself after 35 days. A daily summary of it is kept while your account is open, and an operational copy is archived by date.

A data export you ask for is deleted from our storage a day after it is made, so a copy of your whole history is not left lying about waiting to be found.

Payment records are kept for eight years, which is what Indian tax and company law require of a financial record. They survive both closing an account and asking for it to be deleted, because they are the only evidence either side has if a charge is ever questioned.

What you can do about it

Most of this is in the product, under your own control. The one that is not is one email away, and it is named here rather than left for you to find out:

  • Download everything. Settings › Your data gives you a file with every trade, system, rule, note, reading, badge and conversation this account holds — as one complete file and as spreadsheets.

  • Delete part of it. Start clean removes your trades, or your Learnings, or your Trading Systems, separately, and tells you exactly what each one takes before it takes it.

  • Close the account. Signing in stops and nothing is deleted — your journal stays exactly as it is, for as long as you leave it there. Write to us and we will open it again with everything still in it.

  • Have it permanently deleted. Write to support@portfoliomirror.ai and everything this account holds is erased, apart from the payment records named above. It is not a button on purpose: it cannot be undone, and most people who want out want the account closed rather than emptied.

  • Correct it. Your name and email come from Google and change when you change them there; everything else in the product you can edit or re-import yourself.

  • Disconnect your broker at any time from Accounts, which removes the stored token.

What is stored in your browser

Your sign-in token, so you are not asked to sign in on every page, and small conveniences — the theme, the language you picked, your chart settings, which chat thread you had open. They stay on the device and are cleared when you sign out or clear the site's data. Nothing here is used to follow you to another website.

Age

PortfolioMirror is not for anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not create an account; if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, it will be closed.

If this page changes

Anything that changes what is held, how long, or who sees it will be said here with a new date at the top, and signed-in users will be told before it takes effect.

Is any of this financial advice?

PortfolioMirror is an educational trading journal. It is not registered with SEBI in any capacity — not as an investment adviser, not as a research analyst, not as a portfolio manager — and nothing it shows you is financial or investment advice. It describes your own past trades and what your own rules would have said about them. Consult your financial advisor before investing or trading. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
